Charli Webster presents the colors with the Butler County High School Navy JROTC. The role asks cadets to carry the American flag with care and represent their school in front of the whole community, and Charli treats it with the seriousness it deserves.
Her respect for the men and women who serve our country shows in how she carries herself.
BCHS Principal Stoye Young shared Charli's story through BCHS Renaissance, which teaches students to fight forward instead of fighting back.
"This young lady is focused, fighting forward, and will move on to great things," Principal Young said.
That's Character, one of the five pillars of the Butler County Schools Portrait of a Learner. Character is about personal conduct: professionalism, accountability, and being someone others can trust. For Charli, it looks like putting on the uniform and carrying the colors for Butler County with pride.
She's the kind of example families hope their kids will find in the halls at BCHS.
