Five Butler County High School FFA members traveled to Louisville to compete at the Kentucky State Fair. Carter Smith, Rayden Johnson, Elliott Heard, Kiptyn Carter and Bentley Beesley represented BCHS as the school's livestock team and went up against FFA students from across the state.
The five competed as one team. That makes the trip a good example of Collaboration, one of the five pillars of the Butler County Schools Portrait of a Learner. Collaboration means students working together, depending on one another, and showing up for a shared goal.
BCHS Principal Stoye Young shared news of the trip with the district, along with a short message for the team: Go Bears.
A state fair competition puts Butler County students in the same arena as students from every part of Kentucky. These five carried their school's name into that arena and represented the Bears in Louisville.
Congratulations to Carter, Rayden, Elliott, Kiptyn and Bentley on representing Butler County High School and Butler County FFA at the Kentucky State Fair.
